P/T Experienced Software Application Project Manager, Kiev, UK

Our company is an online community development firm based in the US. Our vision is to utilize the power and potential of the Internet to connect people and groups as never before. We are currently in the development phase of our application with a company in Kiev. We are looking for a long term part time (now) Project Manager with proven abilities in project management. The chosen candidate will remotely take over the management of the project and will lead a team of 4 developers and 1 QA who work for a local company. Job Title: Part Time Experienced Software Application Project Manager Start Date: ASAP The Job : ● Part-time management of software development project already in progress ● Will work directly with the client and the management team ● Work in conjunction with other project managers to manage cost, time and labor resources of 3-4 Ukranian programmers ● Manage MS Project 2003 project plan files and/or Server ● Manage overruns in schedule and present options to management ● Continual coordination between team members and supporting team stakeholders ● Pre-scheduled availability for team phone conferencing on Skype Skills: ● Must have a mastery of written and verbal English communication skills ● Must have excellent communication skills with the client ● Must have Ukrainian communication skills ● Must have a working knowledge of MS Project 2000 or higher ● Working knowledge of Skype Internet phone ● Demonstrate a working knowledge in the following project management principles and tools: ● work breakdown structure ● task dependencies ● project baseline ● tracking gantt in MS project 2000 or higher with weekly status updates ● basic MS Word, MS Excel Education and experience: ● Successful college or university graduate ● Project Management certification is an asset ● Microsoft Certification an asset ● Minimum of 500 hours project management ● Understanding of the software development life cycle is a must ● Working knowledge of UML and the Unified process is an asset ● Provide reputable references from successful jobs ● Must have experience working with American businesses ● Experience working in America a plus Outlook and job benefits: ● Join team to build leading edge Internet application ● Work with a talented global team ● Opportunity to manage new software projects with Star Unlimited LLC ● Access to other professional project managers ● Access to software managers and developers Salary is negotiable Sign and submit the attached NDA.
