We would like the project to be done in this format:
1)Detailed Analysis on Design problems(Translation):
Market needs, problems and translation of problems into constraints and objectives. Constraints are necessary properties of the product such as strength of more than 50MPa, organic solvent resistance etc. Whereas objectives are properties that we would like to improve such as reducing density and cost.
2)Detailed Analysis of Design Process:
-Deriving material indexes for ranking purposes and coming up with the x and y axis of the charts for material selection based on the objectives from the Translation section earlier. As for plotting the charts for material, we want to know what are the suitable x and y axis and the suitable material index for the graph so that we can plot them accordingly in the CES software and rank the material according to the specified material index. As for the generation of the graphs itself, it is not necessary as you may not have the necessary software but will be very beneficial to us if you do.
3) Manufacturing Process:
A brief outline on the manufacturing process and how it affects the decision on materials.
4) Sustainability and impact on environment:
Brief analysis on CO2 and embedded energy analysis.
5) Further documentation of other non-quantitative factors.
6) Conclusion and Recommendations(Final Selection)
