I’m building a high-power GaN RF power amplifier destined for a military platform and need a specialist who can own the complete design cycle. The priority is clear: rock-solid EMI/EMC performance without sacrificing output power or overall efficiency. You will start from a set of target electrical specs and transform them into a proven design, selecting the most suitable RF amplifier architecture, creating the high-power impedance-matching networks, and laying out the RF PCB with all the nuances that GaN devices demand—thermal relief, via fencing, controlled impedance lines, and careful partitioning for low coupling. Throughout the process you’ll lean on Keysight ADS or AWR Microwave Office for nonlinear simulations, then validate critical structures in HFSS or CST to be sure the real-world fields behave exactly as the schematics predict. Because the unit will operate in a military environment, I expect you to anticipate and mitigate conducted and radiated emissions to pass MIL-STD benchmarks, incorporate filtering and shielding where necessary, and prove unconditional stability across temperature and VSWR extremes. Deliverables • Complete schematic and Bills of Materials • Optimised PCB layout files (Gerber/ODB++) ready for manufacture • Simulation reports: large-signal, thermal, stability and EMI/EMC predictions • A brief design note explaining key decisions and test plans for first-article validation If you thrive on squeezing every watt out of GaN while keeping the spectrum clean, let’s talk.
