Interesting project, I will own your RDS PostgreSQL estate and GoldenGate replication: provisioning, patching, query and index tuning, backup and recovery validation, bidirectional GG with monitoring and runbooks. Routine DBA work moves into Python on Lambda with CloudWatch alarms. One angle on bidirectional GG to Postgres: the failure that bites teams is autovacuum interaction with replication slots. Long-running slots block bloat cleanup, and silent bloat tanks performance under sustained load before any latency alarm fires. I will instrument slot age and replication lag in CloudWatch alongside CPU and IO thresholds.
