I have three soccer related programs which are now old and not 64 bit compatible. They are called Fixtures, Members and Logs and they can be downloaded from [url removed, login to view] so that you can see what they do.
What I need is to have the same functionality in new programs. These should be able to run on many (maybe 500) local users machines and should have the same functionality and, as far as possible, the same interfaces as the existing programs. But what is different is that I want all the data to sit on a single cloud database. The data applicable to each user may be replicated locally for speed and ease of use when the internet is not available, but the cloud database must always be the authoritative data source.
The users are football associations around the country, so they must only be able to access the data applicable to their association. Their password should limit their access. But when a new registration of a player takes place a check should be made on all data in the database to ensure that the player is not registered elsewhere. Player registration information should also include the previous history of that player, which should be retained as the player moves from Association to Association.
Super users should be able to access all data.
The existing programs have many reports, all of which should be available in the new programs.
I can supply the Visual Basic (v5) code that was used in the existing programs, but it is not completely up to date.
I am open to suggestions as to how to do this the most efficient and cost effective way.
The programs must have once off capability of moving data from the old existing Access databases to the new databases.
The programs must be licence protected so that they cannot be used without payment being made
