Wordpress Ajax messaging plugin and customization.

Job Description:
This task requires the service of an expert coder. Please do not apply if you are a rookie.
You will work in our staging site and once your work is approved by us you will move to our live site.
Note that the task is not completed until delivers to our live site.
Our wordpress site uses BuddyPress messaging but I need that to be changed to a new messaging system with Ajax functionality and this will also require a deep customization.

This is the current buddypress inbox that we use. It is slow and we need to do away with it. Our site is a LMS which requires some functionalities of buddypress to function. So, I expect the best approach from you.
Buddypress is executing very large queries in the inbox/ private messaging and that affects the speed, but since this plugin is to replace BuddyPress plugin in private messaging, I am thinking it will be nice to stop buddypress from further executing this queries (screenshot - [login to view URL]). Unfortunately, we cannot completely deactivate BuddyPress because it is used elsewhere - for user profiles, registration, friends connections (perhaps which is highly relevant), e.t.c

Our website is also mobile responsive so, you will ensure that it is appropriate. I do not have a screenshot to provide for how it will look in mobile but I expected you to be able to work that out.
