Looking to have Drupal Webforms ([login to view URL]) customized into a more full-featured manuscript submission system. I have in mind something that can provide, at least, functions comparable to the basic features of Submittable publisher-section functions (see [login to view URL]). Essentially, at its most basic:
1- submiters should be able to register (probably, beyond Drupal registration) to the system, from which they can get on to submit and manage their manuscript.
2- the system should be able to accommodate different categories of submission (e.g. fiction, non-fiction, essays, etc.)
3- the system should provide a means for registering/defining the admin and the editors.
4- the admin should be able to assign the submitted material individually to the editors defined in the system.
5- the system should be able to provide the editors a means for sending out automated customized rejection/acceptance/... notices
6- the system should provide the editors a means for changing the status of submitted materials (e.g. received/pending/in-process/rejected/accepted/...), and the submitters should be able to check this status information for their manuscript when logged in.
7- a good to have is being able to provide different companies with their own subset of all of the above functions, meaning, the ability for the system to provide a registration system for companies, etc.
These are just the basics I can think of now at the very least. And I'm hoping for some interesting and competent-looking bids.
Just to add that I'm especially interested in hearing your ideas about how you intend to adapt Drupal's Webforms to provide the features listed -- or, maybe you have a better idea that doesn't involve Webforms? I'm all ears!
