- Need a wordpress plugin that will create and send a Sendy campaign when I publish a wordpress post.
- The API for sending a campaign can be found on this page [url removed, login to view] under create and send a campaign. The post url will be [url removed, login to view] (will give actual url to chosen freelancer) and I should be able to enter the following parameters on the plugin settings page: from_name, from_email, reply_to, title, subject, html_text, list_ids, brand_id, query_string, send_campaign. For the html_text field I will need a larger box, since this will require a larger amount of input than other fields. The api_key field will be inserted in the backend and will not be viewable in the plugin settings. On this page there should also be a button named Test Post. When this button is clicked a post is sent to the post url using all the parameters in the settings page (and api_key from the backend).
- Second aspect of this is that when I create a new wordpress post, I would like to have an area under the post where I can enter the html_text. It should show the default html_text I have in the settings which i can change here or add more html code which will then be used as the html_text content when I click publish and the campaign is posted to the post url. I would also like to have tab above this that switches between visual and html, just like the wordpress post does so that I can preview the html. The visual should be the default tab. Also on this page I should have a checkmark setting which only sends the campaign if this checkmark is checked. If it is not checked we do not send the campaign when I publish a post. By default its checked, but if I uncheck it the campaign should not be sent. We should also have one more setting here which will be the delay in minutes. If this is set to 0 then campaign is sent right when the post is published, if it is set anything more than 0 then we send it that many minutes after the campaign is published by adding it to wp-cron. So if it is set to 60, then the campaign is published 60min after the post via wp-cron. Default value is 0.
- To reiterate everything, we are creating a plugin that will post a bunch of data to a url when we publish a new wordpress post or when we click test post in plugin settings page. The URL and API key will be entered in the backend and will not be changable in the settings. All other fields as per [url removed, login to view] can be edited on the plugin settings page and we can send a test post via settings page as well. When I click create new post we will have an area under the post where I will have 3 settings - html_code, send or dont send checkmark, and delay time. I attached a screenshot of what it might look like ([url removed, login to view]). For html_text I should be able to switch between visual and html, just like you can do with the wordpress post. Perhaps you can use the exact same code wordpress uses to do that or code from another plugin for this, so you dont have to code this from scratch.
