DartRad Project Description
We are the Department of Radiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center creating a curriculum for medical students using social media quizzes on our Facebook Page (FB). We expect the quizzes to be used primarily on mobile devices. We will make the quizzes, but need help in setting up a way to store, schedule, and post the quizzes on the FB page. We don’t think that this project needs to be developed from scratch, but we do need assistance putting it together in an effective and efficient way.
The quizzes are in HTML format, produced on iSpring Quizmaker software (iSpring Quizmaker website-free 14-day trial). Eventually we will have 400-500 quizzes, ranging in size we think from 100-600 KB. We would like a way to easily schedule and post the quizzes on FB. The quizzes are meant to be similar to Buzzfeed quizzes (Buzzfeed Quizzes) that are often used for marketing purposes and our project can have a similar structure. We are using the iSpring platform in order to create more sophisticated quizzes that are more flexible with images. We don’t need, at this point, to have social media analytics on the use of the quizzes other than FB Analytics.
We would like to streamline the process as much as possible. We are thinking the structure of the project will look something like this, but we are open to alternative suggestions: The quizzes will be initially made by our faculty on Knack templates. Each quiz will have a number-designation that indicates where it fits in the curriculum. The quizzes will be imported as .csv files into iSrping Quizmaker. Here they will be formatted into the interactive template quiz-types that Quizmaker offers and saved as HTML files. [From here forward we need help] The files will be uploaded to a website to be stored in files according to their curriculum-based number; the HTML files will be embedded into a FB friendly file format; and then they will be scheduled and published on FB. We can use the FB scheduling process if necessary, but if there is an inexpensive and more user-friendly way to schedule files we are open to suggestions.
We have thought of using a social media manager, like Hootsuite or Hubspot, to schedule the posts, but they’re value comes mostly from the marketing analytics, and we’re not sure it’s a necessary annual cost. We are open to template-based websites, like [login to view URL], but we don’t need or want a public webpage just for this project. Wix does allow HTML to be uploaded, but it’s not a very user friendly process, meaning uploading hundreds of quizzes will be time consuming, and we’re not sure if this is the best option.
When we save the quizzes from Quizmaker, we get an HTML5 file. When we open this file on a web browser it says, “Unsupported browser - The HTML5 content is not supported by the web browser you're currently using,” irrespective of the browser. We’re not sure why, but this is an issue as well. Thanks for your assistance in advance.
