Background:
In the Middle East mainly the Gulf region business is done through "trading agents" since the law prohibits the government from purchasing directly from a manufacturer, instead the government is required to flot a tender that trading agents in the country would bid on through their principles that they represent. This form of business is beneficial to the citizens since it creates more jobs and opportunity to earn money easily. However, these days with the increasing amount of trading agents and the cut-throat competition trading agents are eager to manufacturers to represent that will allow them to place more competitive bids for a specific product.
Objective:
To create a webservice that will allow manufacturers worldwide across all industries who are eager to appoint representatives in the Middle East to join for free and post their company name along with their products and services in the database. Trading agents that are interested in finding manufacturers to represent for a specific product would pay an annual fee of US$ 150 to join and would be able to search the database by company name, product/service etc...
Features:
Other than the basic given features of manufacturers posting their company name along with offered products and services into the database, and trading agents being able to search the database...
Trading agents/Manufacturers when signing up should be allowed to attach their company introduction letter and have it saved on the database. This way when an agent conducts a search for example: valves and then with the click of a button should be able to automatically send their introduction letters to all of the emails of the valve manufacturers listed in the database, this should also work vice versa.
Each user would have their own private portal where they can see : outstanding requests, responses, etc...
Any other capabilites which you can think of that would not affect the price of this project that you could add would be appreciated.
Please note: this is not an exchange that would include auctions and reverse auctions, bidding etc for the products.. it is just simply to connect manufacturers with agents in the Middle East.
