I expect you'll think I'm crazy with what I'm about to say...but ask your indulgence for a few minutes :-)
I'm an entrepreneur who wishes to create a long list of web businesses that share similar components. I now have 20+ websites to start and expect many more.
First and foremost is a 'system' to track customers and provide a flexible email dialogue with them for product offerings, training and services. You would probably call this an Email Management or Marketing program.
Secondly, I'll need to create custom tables to allow them to search on topics specific to these websites.
And lastly I'll need to include the standard features one always expects in a well developed CMS system such as forums, user security, forgot password, recent articles, member contact information. I'll also need a way to track Affiliate advertising and promote advertisers.
I know these seem like a HUGE list, but I hope you can empathize with the plan.
Anyway, I've spent months studying ASP.NET and just before I am about to start coding I am having second thoughts about the Microsoft offerings. I am now thinking that PHP will expand the modules I can offer and be faster. Also, I've notice that the DNN modules are getting quite expensive and to buy each one TWENTY times could get EXPENSIVE!
I've been developing in Delphi 5 for the last 10 years. I would like to find someone to work through the entire project that can guide me through the pitfalls. I can pay through PayPal or mailing cash.
