We recently had our osCommerce website finished and it is working very well. However, we have quickly come to realize that there are additional features that we require that we didn't need when we started the web project.
About the site:
[url removed, login to view]
Is an osCommerce site but doesn't actually handle any eCommerce (we don't take payment information). What we do is require our wholesale customers to create a free account and we then use osCommerce to allow them to order samples of our product, for free. In essence, it's an eCommerce site where our customers don't pay.
About the additions:
1 - Our Wholesale Registration Page ([url removed, login to view]) is currently the only interface that we use to create accounts for entry into our database. We need a back-end version of this page where the admin can create accounts, separately. The reason we need this is because when users create their own accounts, a series of email notifications is generated. We need to be able to create accounts in the admin that don't generate email notifications.
2 - When a user creates a wholesale account (through [url removed, login to view]), an email notification gets sent to the main admin who then assigns the user to a sub-admin (their appropriate sales rep) in the admin section. When the main admin re-assigns the user to the new sub-admin, a notification email is sent to the sub-admin. The problem is that when the main admin re-assigns a new user, emails get re-sent to the sub-admins for customers they've already dealt with. The sub-admin gets many duplicate emails and should only get one when a new customer (user) is assigned to them.
3 - Our osCommerce site is going to become our main CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and we will need to be able to run customized customer reports. In the report section, I would like to add section for "Customer Reports" where we can run reports based on any field(s) of our customer database. We will also need to add new fields that will let us differentiate between customers who sign up on the Wholesale Registration Page ([url removed, login to view]) and customers who we create profiles for on the back-end admin
There will likely be a couple of more features or fixes that we require as we start on these three, so keep that in mind when you bid.
We are looking to have the first point completed by 10:00am (MST), Thursday, November 15 and therefore we would like to get the winning bidder briefed as soon as possible.
Please include the word, "evol" in your PM/bid to indicate that you have read the project requirements in full.
The reason for the urgent project is because we just hired a new employee and need her to be able to interact with the database from the admin side.
