I am in need of a few minor modifications to the ported OSCommerce / PHP-Nuke package called OSCNUKEMS3.2. This is nearly identical to the stand alone version of OSCOMMERCE M.S. 3.2 and can use all modules written for it.
We simply wish to catalog our merchandise, maintaining the abilty to market it the same with all of the intended functionality, except instead of the program calling the check-out process modules, it just redirects the customer to the specified website from "product_url" value by means of a modified "add to cart" or "buy now" link.
We need a routine that will query the mysql db for the exisiting "product_url" value (which is manually entered by the store owner during the product configuration process when new products are introduced to inventory).
Said URL, which is unique to each indiviual product is an external URL pointing to an outside server for providing specific information.
Instead of having the "add to cart" and "buy now" buttons do what they would normally do, we just want those buttons linked to the "product_url" of said product being currently viewed by the customer.
These buttons in their original native state offer the abillity to proceed to checkout and use the shopping cart module (as well as others). We do not need nor want the ability to use the cart, shipping verification or payment method components of this program.
