I need several modifications to a website written in PHP5 that uses socket programming.
The PHP5 app controls the user interface on the web pages and sends 'requests' to our Host App, which processes the requests and returns the proper response, in either HTML to be displayed or via a URL link to a PDF file to open in a new window.
Needed changes -
1 - When the Host App send the URL link for the PDF file, the PHP5 app currently opens a specific file regardless of what URL is sent. The PHP5 opens the PDF on a specific folder and uses the login name as the filename (\htdocs\online\pdffiles\[url removed, login to view]). I need it to open the file that is sent in the URL.
2 - After a user logs in, there is a link on the screen to 'log out'. Clicking on this returns them to the login page. When the login information is invalid, the php app displays a message that the login information wasn't valid but acts like they are logged in (you see the 'log out' link. I need it to go back to the login page so they can try again.
3 - When there is a timeout on creating and uploading the PDF file, a simple text message "A timeout has occured" is displayed. I need it to be enhanced and include a button to close the window and return to the 'dashboard'.
Along with your bid, please let me know what kind of experience you have with php5 and socket programming. I have another project that I am accepting bids on for an admin panel for this same web app. I would like to award both projects to the same provider, assuming the bids are reasonable.
