Project Description:
We are establishing a new online medical journal and need a highly skilled and experienced professional to install and customize Open Journal Systems (OJS) on our server.
The chosen freelancer will need to demonstrate a proven track record with OJS and web design, as they will be tasked with not only the installation of the software but also theme customization to make the journal visually appealing and user-friendly.
Tasks include:
Installation of OJS: Set up the latest version of OJS on our web server. Ensure the system is fully operational, secure, and optimized for performance.
Customization of OJS Theme: Based on our specifications, modify an OJS theme to match the design and branding of our medical journal. The freelancer should have a strong understanding of modern web design principles and be able to create a clean, professional, and intuitive user interface.
Configuration of OJS Settings: Assist in configuring journal settings such as user roles, submission guidelines, review processes, etc., in accordance with our editorial policies.
Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing to ensure all features work as expected across different devices and browsers. Debug any issues that arise during testing.
Documentation and Training: Provide detailed documentation on the setup and customization done. In addition, training for our editorial team on how to use the system would be required.
Skills Required:
Expertise in Open Journal Systems (OJS)
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Knowledge of modern web design principles
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
