I need to get a clean php function created which will allow me to import a list of people from both XLS and XLSX files (standard format) into a mySQL database. The data will be imported from one source but will need to add data to three tables, checking the existance of email addresses in the database for users and then replacing the data each time. Existing data will need to be replaced, the new data inserted. Shouldn't takre more than a couple of hours for a competent developer hence the budget limitation of $100

Hello. I have experience with PHP/MySQL Applications. In fact in the past I've developed app for importing from xls/xlsx exported from SAP and others applications. Even from CSV or Oracle to MySQL Databases. So I can do what you need and I would be a good choice for your project.
