I would like a HTML5 web application that helps users to listen to and memorise the Quran. It should be responsive and adapable for mobile users, with a few info pages. It shall be based on a similar application I made in flash: [url removed, login to view] . I can provide the flash actionscript and XML files if necessary
It will allow users to play small portions of audio based on a selection of groups of text that they click and drag, or tap and release on.
I'd like to convert this into an Android and iPhone app once complete.
The audio files I use are between 30 seconds and an hour long, so rather than having hundreds of audio files for the flash example, Ive used an XML file to determine which to load, and when to start and stop each audio file based on their selection. The XML file also provides the text portions to be displayed (as the quran is only sectioned in chapters and verses). I think this is still the best method, but maybe you have another idea.
There should be an option to display the Arabic text too. The arabic text will be highlighted as the audio plays, similar to a loading bar to show a rough projection of progress (see graphic).
