Help with category database logic on elearning webapp - multi level categorization function for cataloging categories
Budjetti $30-250 USD
Job Description:
$50-$75 target
Help me code and debug the correct search logic for a elearning website.
The teacher uploads a 20 minute video, they clip a 3 minute portion from it and add title, description, price and add 5 level MICROCATEGORIES - based on the microcategories, learners can search clips on the website and find them fast and easy using microcategorization.
Top left button on home page - Microcategories search - this is where the learners go to find hyper targeted microcategories. The liogic is for each tier they select, the topic becomes more and more precise and narrow. The search results return the selected microcategories. For each level selected, the children are populated in the search results also. Multiple categories can be selected in each level, resulting in the th th th th children being populated in the search results. If a lower tier is selected, the results for that microcategory only shows the selection and children. And so on. If I select 3 categories in level 2, the children from levels 3-5 show up for those 3 selections. If then I select two selections in level 4, the children show up for that breadcrumb structure only - the parents show up in search results also. If no children are selected then all the children for the parent populates in results.
Users can deselect user checkboxes and it removes that from the results.
This function was working previously well. We added function where you can add microcategories directly from upload section. Previously it was only able to be added in the backend. This caused some issues with the categorization during upload. As well as duplicates being written.
There are some of the previous versions of the code in Git which may help. I will test this function and help with any code logic questions, as I am available.
