Job Description:
I have a legacy CMS web site project. It runs from a local WAMP server ad uses PHP to handle server-side modifications to file/folder assets and XML files on disk, and the front-end is created by the PHP and make light use of jQuery/Javascript to handle edits that are then passed onto other PHP scripts via Ajax calls. It was developed a number of years ago, so does not use the latest development strategies, and is a little perculiar.
The CMS site works mostly, however I want some slight improvements to be made: fixing a couple of little bugs (e.g. crashes when deleting specific nodes in XML trees), and improvements the UI (more responsive jQuery type UI instead of having the whole page reload each time an edit is made, being able to drag/drop elements to re-order them instead of clumsy reloading the page).
It shouldn't be a huge amount of work, a talented multi-skilled web developer who is knowledgeable in PHP and jQuery shouldn't have any issues understanding it. You'll need to be able to run the installation from a local WAMP installation to be able to test it, and be able to set write permissions on the local files to ensure local files on disk can be updated by the PHP scripts. I imagine it's a day or so of work for the right person.
