My website is running on Prestashop (v220.127.116.11) and I'm using the default PayPal module (v3.11.6) which works well with all currencies that are supported by Paypal (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP etc..).
The default currency of my website is USD and my website will automatically change the currency to match the visitor's currency according to his location.
The following problem occurs when the website's currency is in ZAR (South African Rands);
1. The order total is R5,763.04
2. Check and select Paypal
3. Log into Paypal account and 455.00$ USD is displayed (all good up until here)
4. Paypal also displays the value that the buyer will pay in his local currency (ZAR) which should be R5,763.04 but instead, the amount displayed is R6,006.99 meaning that he will pay more than advertised o our website.
I have come across people discussing this issue in several forums, it seems that the problem has to do with the way the values are submitted to Paypal from our cart.
I would like to have the ZAR amount shown on the Paypal website to match the ZAR amount displayed on our website as this was how my website use to work in the past before recently having updated the PayPal module.
I would prefer to supply the module files to the freelancer to perform the necessary modifications and I will then re-upload the modified file/s to my server and retest. I will give preference to freelancers that are prepared to work this way.
For testing purposes, please visit [login to view URL] though a VPN would be required to change your IP to a South African one so that the website currency changes to ZAR.
Kindly submit your offer and thank you for your time.
