****Attached is a powerpoint with detailed designs and instruction. All red writing in powerpoint is instruction.
We want to create an online application that is an interactive gaming site. In the simplest form, we provide users with a list of bets from a data base that we update daily, and they must pick 10 that they feel confident they will pick right. Points will pre assigned to each bet by the administrator. If the user gets the bet right, they will be awarded that amount of points.
In more technical terms, we will have a data base of bets that we are constantly updating, adding to the list, taking off the list, etc. We will need to have access to the data base, so we can add more entries and assign a point number to each bet (entry). Users will then come on to the site, and join a "pool", or group of other users that have decided to play as well. The administrator will make these pools, or groups, and they will be listed in the box shown in the powerpoint. If they click on one of the pools, they will be taken to the next screen where they see the list of bets from the data base on the left, and a blank screen on the right. They will choose a pre chosen amount of bets (determined when administrator makes pool), adding up to a total score of the points that we have pre set in the data base. A set amount of time goes by, and the bets end up being true or false, so we go into the data base, and make them true or false. If they are true, the users that picked it get the amount of points it was worth. If they didn't pick it, nothing happens. At the end, the person that has the most points wins, and it generates a list with the order of the players and scores.
We will have another feature called "head to head", or when two users will face each other. One player will either choose a bet from the list in the data base, or they can create their own by clicking that option and a text bar will come up to write the bet in. They will then choose if they are on the "Yes" or "No" side of it. After that, there bet will be added to a separate data base that users can go to, look at the bets, and choose ones that they think they can take the opposite side of. If they select it, they will be taken to a screen that has the two players against each other, with the bet written out above them and their yes or no below them. When the bet is changed to true by the administrator, the person who said yes will win, and when false, the no will win.
We will need people to be able to have a profile for the website, and be able to save the games that they have won. Sign up with email and password. Admin will need to store all of that information.
We have designed it on powerpoint to give you and idea of what we are talking about. The powerpoint pretty much says exactly what we want to do.
Please let me know if you can do it, and how long you think it will take you.
