We have a functioning wordpress site and would like to update the site a bit with some new layout and some new functionality. Ideally someone could make all these changes and if so, we may have more work going forward. YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR SERVER AND I WILL UPLOAD THE FILES AND SEND TO YOU - YOU WILL NOT WORK ON OUR FTP.
1) I'd like to make a few changes on this page: [url removed, login to view] Right now the page is set up with divs for each row and instead, I'd like to tidy up the code and remove the row structure so that when you add a new release, it simply spaces out the grid on it's on (without the need for organizing the grids using manual changes to the code. Does that make sense? I'd also like to sort out the spacing. For one I'd like there to be a bit more space between the navigation bar in the header and the first row of images. I'd also like the right most image and left most image to line up with the two sides of the navigation bar. Also, the text in the artist names should not be quite so far the below the images. 2) Similarly, on the artists' page: [url removed, login to view] I'd also like to do away with the "row" CSS and have the rows be automatically generated. We will remove the sidebar and have 4 artists per row (same as the release page). We'd like to also close the spacing gap a bit between the bottom of the images and the text of the artist names. 3) I'd like to have a recent featured posts top bar (right underneath our header). We'd like it to look like the "Even More News" bar as seen on [url removed, login to view] (scroll down a bit to see it) I like the two sets of arrows on the sides and I'd like to be able to choose which posts get positioned there (so it's not simply the most recent). Simply by adding the tag "Featured" a post would be added to this bar (and removed when that tag is removed from the post). We might a a few small notes on the styling but basically functioning like what you see at [url removed, login to view] 4) Going back to our set of release pages. We'd like to make each release a special custom type of page. The main reason to do this is so that we can call them up on our side bar with a small piece of code (instead of manually adding HTML each time we do a new release). See how the most recent releases are displayed on the side bar now: [url removed, login to view] We like to have than happen automatically using a custom widget. I'm assuming we will need to set up custom fields for the the artist name, the release title, the release date and then links to the various store where the release is for sale. In addition to the sidebar widget, I'd like the ability to call up the most recent posts in an alternate footer as well. And come to think of it, when a new release was added in the Admin, it be great to auto-update the main release page (from section 1). I'm happy to get into further detail on this any of this.
