Please do not bid on this unless you have experience of working with Wordpress, knowledge about Wordpress best-practice and are confident to be able to come up with the best possible architecture. If there's a plugin available to do some part of this project, I expect you to know about it.
This project is about creating a website about some people based on publicly available data (xml).
Before starting we'll need to have a chat about the "architecture". I hope to be able to use wp defaults for most things, so much of the collected data will go into categories, post content, tags, authors etc. We need to discuss the best solution so we get flexibility when it comes to working with the data and publishing it.
1. Save the basic data, containing info about people, with names and a lot more. Some of this data is to be saved in custom fields and some in default wp fields (like categories or post content). Example: [url removed, login to view]
2. Save any posts where a specific word occurs.
Example: [url removed, login to view]
3. Fetch one of these feeds for each person in the database. Save posts from the feed in the database (probably as wp posts). Example: [url removed, login to view]
Data needs to be collected automatically once in a while, so we also need to create cronjobs or similar.
There is some pretty simple logic to do with the collected data. Example: Count number of occurences and check what person has the most.
Now all this is to be published on the site. No focus on design at this stage, but we need to make sure the output is clean so the design can be applied later on with css only. Functionality that we need to implement is to sort and filter posts on the site (for instance some of the collectred data is date of birth, we need to be able to sort on that). For publishing we also need to be able to manually add content (such as text and rss news feeds) for each person.
