Project involves creating and integrating a 1. Online MP3 Music Store 2. Flash media Player and 3. Billboard like Chart
Music Store should allow browsers to easily download songs in an itunes like fashion without necessarily being a site member. Music Store should incorporate songs from all members of the site and arrange them in an easily browsable user friendly manner by Genre, Artist, Band, etc.
Billboard chart will involve top ten songs on home page and another more substantive [url removed, login to view] ratings will be based on clicks from flash media player and purchases from music store
We would like a [[url removed, login to view]] like flash media player to be incorporated into an existing php site in development . . .
The media player should alow site users to upload mp3s and choose whether other community members can: 1. Add song to their player, 2. purchase a song, or 3. have browsers download a song. Player will also have a home or view link that takes users to the user band that created the song. It should also display the amount of plays and song image. Site administrator will need to be able to take down any song from the user player via existing Site Admin Panel.
Browsers wishing to purchase a song will be directed to site music store.
There is currently a site admin panel that allows site administrator to take down photos, songs, etc, from community members. New player will need to be incorporate into this module. Site users will have to control new player via existing user admin panel.
We like Itunes layout of Music Store but coders are free to use their imagination to create a user friendly store that alows new comers to easily find and preview music by genre, artist, top songs etc.
