I am currently trying to build a photography portfolio website with Wordpress. For each gallery of images I create a subcategory to the "Projects" category. Every post within that subcategory contains one image. So a gallery could contain let's say plus / minus 20 images and every image has it's own page.
I need to find a way to automatically have a Thumbnails page for every subcategory of the Projects category which will display thumbnails of the images used in each post of that category.
Please take a look at [url removed, login to view] as an example. This is a static website, the subcategory in this case would be "Vienna Calling: Call Shops", every image would be one post. The Thumbnails page I am looking for would be the page you see when you click on "Thumbnails", which would have 1to be automatically generated.
If you can think of another solution I am open to everything. I originally wanted to use the NextGen gallery plugin as this would allow me to just create one post for a whole gallery, display NextGen galleries Imagebrowser and it would allow me to easily change the order of images through the NextGen gallery admin interface. I did however not find a way to create a thumbnails page with the NextGen gallery that I can link to. If you know how to do this with the NextGen gallery I'd rather go for this solution over the one described above.
I assume that this would be easy for a Wordpress Pro which is why I set the budget for this project to a "small project", please get in touch with me with further questions and let me know how much you would charge.
I am looking forward to hear from you soon!
