Flash Flip Book automatated site creation

Hi There,

I want to create a desktop piece of software that can do what? <[url removed, login to view]>? does.

This piece of software is something that I want to sell off, and will require a license key and some kind of encryption to stop people using it without paying for it. I'm not sure how this all works, but even if a seperate program was made (where I could generate 'x' number of license keys) that would be fine as I could design a website a website that grabbed one of those keys from a database. We also own a dedicated server so authentification may be good as long as it is not high on server load usage.

This software needs to allow people to do the following:

1) Have the same features that PageFlipper has but in an offline version without requiring any additional software such as Flash MX etc.

2) Have realistic page flips.

3) Allow people to add in pictures, videos etc into their FlipBook.

4) Allow the finished book be exported into a variety of formats (any that will support page flips such as .exe, .swf etc).

We want this software to start off simple, but over time we want to make it better by adding in more functions that will grow over time.

This software needs to be compatible with all the main versions of Windows (including Vista-x64 etc).

Page flipper currently has the following features:

Click and drag mouse interaction

Corners can be clicked to turn the page, or whole pages can be dragged to the left or right for the most realistic interaction possible.

Use Movieclips, external images or SWFs for pages

Page content can be loaded from the library. Alternatively external JPG, PNG, GIF and SWF files can be displayed when publishing for Flash Player 8 or higher. Flash Player 7 supports external JPG and SWF files only.

Load pages immediately or on demand

Load external content as soon as the component appears on the stage or only when required, reducing load times and bandwidth usage.

Easily add sound effects

Specify a sound file to play when the pages are turned. The sound file can be specified in XML, with Actionscript or in the Component Inspector.

Customizable look and feel

Shadow strength and the animation speed can be adjusted using Actionscript, XML or the Component Inspector. The mouse over and click corner sizes can also be adjusted.

Custom background

Option of choosing a solid background color for your pages or create your own background which can contain an image or an animation.

Display options

Content can be set to scale to page or displayed at original size. Component can start displaying at any given page. This can be used to create right to left books.

Automated page numbering

Page numbering can be automatically applied to every page, or odd/even pages only. Pages can also be numbered from last to first as well as the option to display the total number of pages, for example: 2/12. The look of the page numbers is also fully customizable.

Built-in preloader

The built-in preloader displays the loading progress of each page. The colors of the preloader are customizable.

Quick page jump

Create quick links to jump to a specific page with the option of flipping to the page or jump directly without any animation.

Custom live preview

The built-in live preview displays page dimensions in the Flash IDE for easy reference during development.

Full Actionscript API

Most aspects of the component are fully controllable with actionscript.

Very light weight

Adds just 11Kb to the size of your movie.

Easy to use

Be up and running in just a few minutes.

We want most of these features, but we want them to be an offline version of the script so that people can upload the files they have created for online use, as well as put them on CD's etc for offline promotional use. People need to be able to save their projects and come back to them.

We want this software to start off simple, but over time we want to make it better by adding in more functions that will grow over time.
