I am looking for someone to do a very simple little app for me. Let's call it "ImpulSave". Basically, user can create an account, set monetary goals like "Save $XXX for a car." or "Pay of $XXX in debt." They should be able to attach a picture to this goal as a reminder of what the goal means to them as well as a date they wish to achieve it by.
Then when they are out shopping, they can pull it up on a mobile phone and instead of buying something, they can log the value of the deferred impulse buy against their goal. So, if they were going to waste $100.00 on a pair of shoes, instead they can log that $100.00 saved against a goal and put in a little description "Didn't buy the shoes" and have the date of the avoided impulse buy logged as well.
Each record entered goes in as "Unapplied." Then at any given point they can pull up all unapplied avoided impulse buys and mark them all as "applied", which would mean they have moved the balance into a savings account or made a payment on the debt equal to that amount, etc. This would then show on the goal by showing them how much they have applied in savings compared to their goal to show them how close they are. So, if the goal was to save $1,000 for a small vacation, and they have $500 in applied savings on that goal, it would show they are 50% there.
Pretty simple little app, but it comes with some caveats.
2) Needs to be clean and responsive.
NOTE: I am looking for an independent developer. Large programming outsource firms need not apply.
