Shopping Website

want to create a smth like shopping.com. Need to get Data feeds or access the sites API to retrieve the product information including affiliate links from other merchants and import them to the site. Need to be able to run automated updates to get new price changes.

Would like to use an ecommerce site such as Magento Ecommerce and modify by creating an extension(that is what they call their add-ons) which do not affect the core files so upgrades to the cart won't be affected.

If it is easier to create the site from scratch that would be fine also. Can start the website with basic features and then add on to it at a later time.

Features I would like to have at first.

1. create site template

2. be able to add product feeds from Amazon, walmart and others

3. search bar to search for products and sort by relevance & price and show the different merchants that are offering the product. When they click on the link to go to the merchant it goes to my affiliate link on the merchants website.

4. Create an account, where I can send them email, I would like to keep track of products they search for to find out their interests and send them email specials, also they can create a wish list.
