Serendipity ([url removed, login to view]) blog editing and website design review

I have two project needs. First, I installed a blog powered by serendipty ([url removed, login to view]) software. Very nice program, but I need help installing links on the blog pages and otherwise customizing the blog to the site.

Second, I am upgrading the overall site design, with the exception of the blog, unless it is possible to import the site design into the serendipity blog. I have a pretty good template for the new design that I plan to use. However, design is not my strong suit. Therefore, I am looking for creative suggestions and recommendations.

Project or hourly rate quotes are both welcomed.
