We have new project that needs to be created – preferably in PHP, MySQL, then hosted on a Windows server.
It is a golfing competition management system.
We need a quote for $ and a quote on the number of hours this would take to do.
This is how the system needs to work.
A group of golfing friends get together - one acts as an administrator
They form a golfing pool - then the administrator invites their friends to be a part of the pool - or the administrator registers them
Each member agrees to contribute prize money, eg $25 each, which goes to the admin, but this is not part of the system, there is no e-commerce, they are just agreeing to the prize draws, and this is noted in the system.
the admin puts these prize details in, which allocates amounts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, eg first place 66%, 2nd 24%, 3rd 10%
admin sets the dates for each golfing round, and over what time period, eg, over 1 year, or 6 months, etc
Then on a weekly basis, the admin copies a persons score, and pastes their score into this new system, the admin is merely entering the new score results for each member
when all scores are updated, everyone in the team gets the email to show who is leading
one administrator may create more than one pool, can see more than one when they login, choose which one to view
The system can test the verification of participants email address, making sure all those in the group have valid emails
the admin is able to re-edit the score results, incase there was an error, they are all shown by date
The system allocates points based upon scores
all the members the members of the pool get an email, this email summarises all their scores, highest at top, click on players name, to go to site, see the summary of scores by that player by the round of golf - also this email will show the highest score this week, with a comment, eg, saying "Player XX got the highest score this week"
when they get the email, the players can go to the site, login and register a comment on the web site, just for their group, and everyone in the group can see it on the site, but they also receive the comment via email
There is no link between all the different pool groups, they all operate separately, except that one admin may control more than one pool
all the results and scores are private – not shown to the public on the site
The system can accommodate 1000's of different pool groups using the system
Administrator will need ability to edit Participant's scores and handy cap
Participant's will need ability to make comments to all or some of the other participants in their pool group, making comments on their scores. (like a forum, though the comments are also emailed out to everyone in their group)
Allow space for advertising on website
Allow space for advertising on all emails going out – HTML emails going out
We look forward to hearing from you
