Need a website designed, coded, and programmed. Layout must be unique and good looking, and should appear like an e-commerce or comparison shopping site.
The programming is where it gets interesting:
1. Must be able to accept pull feeds from various vendors (for example, [url removed, login to view]) and use these to update products on the site at least once a day.
2. Preferably, if I end up using any of the big feeds (amazon, overstock, etc), it should recognize that the products are the same, and show the prices they can be purchased at for different sites.
3. If there is software I can purchase that helps enable this, and then can be customized, that is fine by me, preferable even if it helps keep the cost down.
4. If custom coding is needed, I'd prefer it be in either PHP (preferable, probably easiest) or Ruby.
I would prefer to work with someone who has experience managing affiliate data feeds, rather than someone just learning about it, but if you feel confident you can figure it out, go ahead and bid.
I'm thinking something alone the lines of [url removed, login to view], although it doesn't need to be as featured or complicated as that site.
I do not intend to actually sell products through this website at this time, so no shopping cart is needed. What the site will do is present itself like an ecommerce site but with a focus on bringing all products together and comparison shopping if available in multiple places. When the user finally chooses a product, it will take him to the site featuring it to pay. Similar to shopping.com or specifically http://www.footwearbuyer.com/. I would also like for users to be able to leave reviews.
Sorry everyone. Due to new information recently discovered, I'm putting this one on hold for now. Sorry for wasting your time.
