We run a PHP based footballmanager browsergame with an own template system (no framework). Our players have virtual items like stadiums, parking spaces, snack bars and so on. We will create a new template that shows these items on a "profile map". (Club profile area). Its 10 items so far. But it will be much more in the future.
We have illustration items like roads and buildings. So there should be some or one "template grid" (template areas/ roadgrids).
The maps (profiles) should be able to be visited by other users. And there should be a graphical survey for all user profiles, so the users can be found on it. The users shall be able to visted profiles of other players. The players should be able to determine "their hometown" so that the "profile survey of players" show their "home town" geographically.
We already use nice jquery popup boxes to display detail of players. The existing jquery boxes can be used to display information of the new "area items" on the map.
The existing items (and future items) should show progress bars of the construction progress. These bars are already in other parts of the game, so the coder can perhaps use them for the new task. The items have already "contruction times" so its not about creating them, its about displaying it properly.
Further tasks will arise when we introduce new items like companies, residental houses, fire stations and so on. Then we introduce new game content like traveling, collecting, exchanging items. Then it would be good when we can determine distances to calcuate travel costs, travel times and so on.
Please no unexperierenced guys, no job hunters, no project managers. Direct contact to the coder is mandatory!
You dont have to speed throught the task, working with us is about continuity. So it is nice when you finish a task within 4 or 6 weeks. We expect this to be done for an experienced coder in 20 hours and calcualte a budget of 200 Dollar for this first task. If this will differ for some reasons, we can discuss this of course.
We suppport you 100% with our database. The coder of the game is still in place for questions also. So we work togehter on it.
We do no upfront payments, but we aggree to downpayments when we see it works out. We use SVN and a development environment.
We are looking forward to get known to you!
We found a capable game engine that fits perfect to do the job:
Thats how the map looks like:
