At 2hr intervals, Send a command to the serial port (ascii). Retrieve the reply (ascii)add it to a file. Do again 15 times. Then save the file. Do again next interval. Rename old file. Create new one. Kill files 90 days old. The command to send is Q01L...Q02L...Q03L up to Q16L The replies are 5 to 15 lines: 230,123456 232,123457 234,231456 up to 15 lines returned. Each line is formatted by remote device as shown above ie: 3 ascii bytes comma 6 ascii bytes cr,lf. Serial port is Comm1 1200,n,8,1 And would require no flow control. But would require a slight pause between characters sent. No carriage returns or line feeds on outgoing commands. Files saved to be in .csv format. Then answer calls from winmodem and accept password. If correct then x or z modem latest .csv file back to caller and hangup. A window on the desktop to show the query and response traffic. I built the remote devices. They are made with PIC16f873's and I programmed them in assembly. So if changes to their response patterns or command sets are needed I can accomodate. Only I have very little time left for this project. Nothing fancy just functional needed.
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. I have VB6 and will want to open the software project and make changes or additions. Any files needed to do that included.
