Some manufacturers have a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy in which they do not allow you to advertise a price on your site lower than the MAP price. However, they allow you to have text in the product listing such as "Add to cart to see our lower price" and allow you to show the lower price in the cart. Magento currently does not have this ability.
a) In the backend…every product needs to have a "MAP" field to be used for products that have a Minimum Advertised Price requirement.
The logic would be as follows:
If a product has a value entered in the "MAP" field, then that MAP value is to be displayed on the site on all areas until the product is added to the cart. When the product is added to the cart, then the built-in Magento field for "Price" would be the price to be displayed. Additionally, if a product has a value entered in the "MAP" field, then that product is to have text such as "Add to cart to see our lower unadvertised price!" during site navigation.
Additionally, I need the text “Free Shipping!” added to the product listing views for all products that have Free Shipping selected in the backed.
