Write some Software

I mean no disrespect, but if you are the type of person that only replies "I have read your proposal and can do the work," you will NOT be considered for this job. I am looking for someone/group who reads a description and either asks questions, has suggestions or describes some project ideas to ensure we are on the same page. They consider the details, the logic and the impact changes to the code can make to fix the problem and to other areas in the site if the code is changed. I'm sorry about to be so firm about this but I just don't have time to explain things 15 times because someone did not read this bid. If selected, you must be ready to begin now. To work on this project will require signing an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) I have a custom site that utilizes Joomla 2.5 as the CMS; Joomla has been modified a bit as well. I am not ready to update to Joomla 3.x yet. There are also other mods/apps used within the site. The site also uses PHP, HTML, Java, use of phpMyAdmin and many of the standard accompanying web items. An understanding of sports, particularly, American football would be very helpful but not mandatory. I am not a coder, but I will guess that it is a somewhat complicated or intricate site. I can't tell you how to fix an issue, but I can describe it and I will rely on your expertise on how to fix the problem 1) the first time, 2) without impacting other areas of the site and 3) double checking that it is fixed and didn't affect other areas. I have been working with a company on my site for years now. I'm pretty sure I have been satisfied with their work, when they fix something I am most often happy. However, maybe I am just happy because something was fixed. The biggest problem at the moment is that I need weekend support (days and evenings as items come up) for my site which they don't offer. They have been helpful in providing someone for a few hours but I need someone/group who can be there shortly after I send an email to begin working on the issue and done within an hour or two during the weekend (I am in the US, Eastern Standard time) as the sports revolve around the weekend. You will see from below that many of the problems that occur in my site are not BIG problems, but I still want them fixed in a timely fashion. Some issues that I am currently looking at to have addressed (which I believe are fairly simple): - member can't login. I attempt using their login details from the actual users table from the db and I cannot log in. - Joomla says member can't login because login credentials contain special characters which are not allowed. Again, login details from DB contains no special characters. - recently fixed items just to give you an idea of what I'm looking for: -drop down menu to submit information to DB not sending to db, giving a 0 string error. - cron job not implementing what it was set up to implement. Again, usually they are rather simple things like described above, but they are on a complicated site with multiple variables which takes a careful, detail oriented person. Sometimes, I will have a short list of small things, other times, I will have nothing. This post is an attempt to determine if I can find a person/group that can provide, for now, weekend support for my site for THIS weekend (now). Who knows, if I like the person/group, the work they do and the price I may consider using you next weekend or even full time if you do a better job than my current company. You should know, that I am up at all hours so you could hear from me at nearly any time; keep that in mind if you bid. Please also know there is a possibility that I may not find the person/group I'm looking for OR my group may step up (as I'm hoping they will do since they know the site already) and this posting may NOT get filled.
