I'm an Assessment Psychologist operating in private practice and we frequently administer IQ Tests. These IQ tests are interactive and involve sitting across from the individual and recording their scores on a clipboard form while they respond and provide answers. We then tally each subtest (there are 10 main ones) by hand and record sort those into five categories (Verbal, Performance, Working Memory, Processing Speed, and Full-Scale). Once those are tallied we enter them into a computer that generates overall scores.
My project's objective is to eliminate the clipboard form (which currently costs our practice a lot of money AND wastes paper when we could be using a keyboard) by creating software that will allow us to:
A) Record scores as they are given
B) Automatically tally them according to the unique scoring rules per test
C) Generate tallies of groups of tests
D) Export all the responses AND a tally page in a nice printable format (export to Word or something is fine).
E) Allow a basic level of security to the administrator so I can password protect the data AND specify in advance whether the program is permanently unlocked to the user or for a shortened period (90 days for example).
F) Provide an interface that could allow a programmer to easily add an additional test down the road. That is, I'd like to eventually have one program for the 4-5 tests we utilize in this manner.
G) Allow some space where the end-user could add semi-permanent words to the field such as the copyrighted info that I don't wish to include myself in case I ever decide to sell the program. That is, I don't want to violate the IP raw data. (More details attached)
The attached files add clarification. They include:
IQ Specs: This is the overall detailed spec on the program.
WISC Sample Score Sheet: This is a sheet with responses recorded for the IQ Test I'm wanting to start with.
IQ Spec/Overview: A marked up form identifying the major functions I'll need for each test. It's a little confusing unless used in conjunction with the attached Word document.
WISC Excel Form: This was an early attempt to create something rudimentary in an excel format. I include it as a general example.
