We are a car loan company. We want an online payment portal where our customers can make payments online. We prefer for the system to access Chase Paymentech using PHP and MYSQL on a shared hosting system. We anticipate developing the system in two initial phases:
Phase 1 – Basic Administrative and Customer systems allowing customers to make payments.
In this Phase, the Administrator will define certain parameters about the Customer accounts (internal account number, payment amount, etc.) Customers will be able to manage their credit card and/or bank account details – which should be stored by Chase and referenced in our system with a token.
Customers can make payments, the system will store a full history of all payment attempts and responses from the Chase system as to approved, or rejected and rejection reasons. (Some transactions return an approved but reduced payment amount.)
The system will provide the Administrator with daily reports of payments made.
Phase 2 – Add payment confirmation code returned to Customer.
We use the a starter-interrupt system that requires us to provide our customers with a six-digit code each time they make a payment. The customers enter these codes into a device installed on their car that allows the car to continue running until the next payment is due. Phase two will automate this process so Customers will make their payments online, if Chase returns an approved status for the correct payment amount, then the system will obtain the correct six-digit code to provide back to the customer. This will require using an API provided by the starter-interrupt vendor to obtain the correct code.
Depending upon the success of these first two phases we anticipate additional development on the system including iPhone and Android applications to do similar functions, and the integration with our core accounting system.
