We need to develop a bot application (WinXP desktop-based) that will go into MySpace profiles and extract data that will be input in a web-based API of ours.
I'm attaching 3 screens explaining what you need to look in a typical MySpace profile and where it needs to be extrapolated in our API.
A few comments:
1 - All the fields in our API are mandatory, so if the bot cant find data in a given profile for a specific field which can NOT be randomed, then the bot should ignore that profile and move to the next until all the mandatory data is found.
2 - You need to create tables of equivalences between our API and each source site (MySpace in this case). For example, in our API, in the section FOR, "Hanging out" could be "Friends" in MySpace. Also, "Female - Chubby" in the Body Type dropdown in our API could be "More to love!" in MySpace.
3 - MySpace profiles don't display the exact weight, that we need to input in our API. So you need to create a correlation between body types specifications in MySpace and weights values. For example, "Thin" in MySpace could be a random value between "80lbs (40kg)" and "98lbs (45kg)" for the dropdown options in our API.
4 - Think the control panel of the system to allow enter several accounts for each social site, to avoid banning or something like that. We will just input user and pwd.
The app will need to have a control panel with:
- Ability to enter several MySpace login info accounts (to be used by the bot to login).
- Enter target parameters for the bot to search (ie all females, age 18-35, etc).
Thats about it.
The screenshots are pretty self explanatory.
