Have written a lot here, but really the things involved should not be very complicated for someone who knows php. Am just wordy because I'm trying to give a full-spec: ****** Have transitioned my server to use phpsuexec and am having to merge two really small scripts which previously resided in other places. One half of the newly merged script already works. That part simply finds a pre-specific file and replaces a placeholder username for a mysql connect string with the actual username of the cpanel account. Like I said this part already works. The part giving me problems is the part I imported (of course) - it's a snippet from another script, which makes a new database, database user, and then imports a premade SQL file. That's it all there is to it. The reason the merge is giving me problems is because the snippet now doesn't exist in the same environment as some of the variables it is set up to use anymore. ...so the variables need to be redefined so that the script can work in its new environment. To do this we may need to use a static password if the cpanel account's password can not be automaticlly retrieved (the place where the snippet comes from had the cpanel's password passed along to it, so it was much easier there). ****** Am attaching the script ([url removed, login to view]) as it exists now plus the [url removed, login to view] file which is searched and replaced by it so that you can look see exactly what the job entails. High preference for those who can get it to use the cpanel password as the database password, instead of having to convert things to use a static value for the password. However, if we do it that way a little something will need to be added to the first part of the script so that the placeholder password string in [url removed, login to view]'s mysql connect string is replaced, too.
