I'm looking for a simple application or script that tracks the prices from multiple textbooks on multiple online marketplaces. This would include: [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] (Buy It Now auction format only, bidding auctions should be excluded).
I have a library or "master list" of the current textbooks I would like the program to search. The list format I'm using is displayed in the example below. I could provide this in an excel spreadsheet or a .txt file using tabs. The list includes between 300-500 textbook titles, their ISBN #'s as well as a desired price or buying price for each individual book. The program should use the textbooks ISBN # for the searching/tracking.

I would like the program to check the textbook prices from all three marketplaces continuously in 15 minute cycles. When the program discovers a marketplace price that matches or is below that of a specified or desired price it will send out a notification such as an email or an alert. The notification should state the textbook title/ISBN #, the marketplace and the current price that has matched or is the below its specified price.
The program should already track the "USED" prices on these three online marketplaces. If possible I would also like this script to check the "NEW" condition prices as well. The listing data would need to be modified to include the "NEW" desired price.

Also if possible, I would like the program to be able to filer out marketplace listings that are selling international editions, instructor/teacher editions, annotated editions, illegal copies or e-books. These listings are usually priced well below the marketplace value and greatly affect the lowest price displayed. Listing descriptions that include the words: "instructor, annotated, teacher, international" should be excluded.
If the project is a success and operates properly and efficiently I would be willing to increase the pay to continue to add more marketplace websites that would be included in the searching/price tracking.
The most important part of the program/script is to track the provided ISBN #'s and check to see if any marketplace listings match the specified price criteria. The notification/alert is key in which it allows me to buy certain textbooks at the appropriate prices rather than having to manually search and find them on my own.
I work on a Mac OS X operating system 10.5 so the program will need to be compatible and work on this type of operating system. There is no specific deadline for the project however I expect it to be completed in an appropriate timeframe.
