The programming for this site ([login to view URL]) had been done by another programmer in cgi but there always seemed to be problems. I need it reworked by someone more capable, whether its perl, php, or whatever. It has an Admin section but this is where most of the rework needs to be done. I don't think he even used a database like MySQL but I'm sure it will be needed to database the customers. I attached a file of some of the original requirements when this was started and have a couple pages more that can be sent as well. Below is some of the changes requested by my client just to give you an idea of what's involved. -------------- 1. The "REGISTER" on the menu is a different process than the "APPLY FOR AN ACCOUNT" under "book an appointment"? Should these not be the same? with ALL of the information of both included in one similar entry. 2. When you register for an account, ("APPLY FOR AN ACCOUNT" under "book an appointment"? ) you do not have to be verified before booking an appointment. 3. When you go into book an appointment as a user and hit next month - next month ALWAYS reverts to Feb 2003? A real pain for users. 4. When Gillian goes in to reserve a day or partial day and goes to next month, same thing is true PLUS when you change months it reverts to "book and appointment" and she can not reserve a day or partial day. Partial Day does not seem to work at all - just goes to book an appointment type input. (next month also reverts to Feb 03) 5. How do you print out the total user information? Not possible?? we need to be able to do this. 6. Is there a way to change the client information? What if someone moves? Now there is no place for postal code or city? 7. How is the appointment process suppose to be completed? There is no history as originally asked for? 8. Print out appointments prints all of the appointments. Can this be done by Day or by Week - i.e. specify a time period 9. If I remember correctly the "REGISTER" in the menu bar is suppose to send an e-mail. Who is that setup to go to? 10. During initial start up Gillian will be going in to set up the clients appointments. Must she sign on as the client to do this? Would be a lot easier if the administrator had a way to force appointments and set up for anyone on the list? 11. Some kind of search method on names - last name, first name - some way because it becomes more difficult to locate someone as the database grows. 12. A method to import existing names - lets say from excel. That way, who ever uses this program could export their existing names into excel and then upload and set fields without having to enter one at a time. If it too cumbersome for someone to set up they will not use is 13. can they automatically be put in alphabetical order (first name) after the are entered 14. At present you have to verify each new name individually (pain in the ? neck) should be able to verify all new additions in one swoop otherwise too labour intensive 15. Name address in fact all info should be able to be changed or adjusted by the administrator (Gillian) without deleting entire listing and re-entering. 16. People (who are not known customers) are able to book appointments without being verified. Can you prevent this from happening.
