The basic idea of [url removed, login to view] is to build the largest archive of wordpress themes with as little effort as possible. I have the majority of the code installed properly. Yet, there are 2 areas of the website that do not function properly.
First of all, my installation does not have any themes added to it as of yet, because I'm missing some code. :-)
Yet, you can see a working version on the original programmer's website still at:
[url removed, login to view]
The admin area can be found here: [url removed, login to view]
You can view my installation's admin login here:
[url removed, login to view]
Ok. Here is what doesn't work.
If you click on "Pending Theme" or "Bulk Pending Theme" within the admin area, the "View" link does not work.
Now, just to give you an idea of what the "view" link does, its kind of complicated. It bascially extracts the theme from a zip file, extracts data from a few files to fill in description fields, etc.. , and was originally setup to make screenshot thumbnails of the themes on the fly using gnome-web-photo. This all worked originally, but the original programmer went missing in action, and the thumbnail creation file [url removed, login to view] was not given to me.
Therefore, I brought in another programmer to finish. The second programmer and I decided that creating the screenshots with gnome-web-photo on the fly when pressing "view" took too long. 30-60 seconds. Therefore, we switched to a cron setup instead, so that the thumbnails would of have already been created before we approve new themes. This makes the admin of the site much faster.
In addition, this second programmer added the link addition/filter functionality to the site, and attempted to write the crons to make this work before approval too. I do not believe the crons were completed properly.
So here is a basic list of what needs to be done.
#1. Create cron that generates screenshot thumbnails of "pending" and "bulk pending" themes. FYI. "pending" are themes users upload via site, "bulk pending" are themes we add in bulk via FTP.
#2. Integrate this new cron thumbnail functionality with the pending/bulk areas so the screenshots are loaded properly.
#3. Verify the new link addition/filter code works.
#4. Create crons for the new link addition/filter code.
#5. Make sure the integration of the link addition/filter code works properly on the "view" area of pending/bulk.
#6. Debug entire code base/site. If you see errors while finishing project, fix them. I don't think there are any, but just incase. :-)
#7. After everything is completed we will upload a few thousand themes. I'm sure we will run into small bugs. Make sure the code scales well when we have 10,000 themes.
Please fix my code and complete my project. You will be given full SSH/SFTP access to server to complete this project.
