Fixing a php function

I have problems on a php functions previously written from another developer.
The code display live events from a mysql database, the function on the events are : VIEW - MODIFY - DELETE - SUSPEND.
The SUSPEND function delete the events from the main table of the events, and move it to another database tables tha can show only administrator from the joomla backend.
The BUG of the SUSPEND function is that when an user press the suspend button to suspend an event from a list of events, it not suspend the selected event but the last one of the event list!!!
For a php expert is a game to solve this.
