Fix coding for mp3 player not playing on site

I have a Joomla website and using JOOMSHOPPING to sell mp3 music files online. I had a programmer who edited some coding with regards to which player is used when playing mp3 files. But I have noticed that the coding seems to be a bit untidy and that there are so many different javascript & php code that's still included in the files, and not all of this code is being used. We started off with one mp3 player and then used a different player, which didnt work properly after a while, so then a third player was added, but it seems the code of all these players are still in the files and it's too untidy to work with or to know what is where since commenting has also been left out mostly. So this is what I need done:
Currently the mp3 player we would like to use is showing on the site, this is the original joonshopping player that comes with joomshopping installation, but because previous programmer changed the code so much, it seems this player is not working properly. When I click on play button, the player pops up on the screen, but with a white background and no way to press play in order to play the music mp3, and I'm not sure what the cause it. In the past when clicking on the play button, the player pops up with a black background and play button in the middle, but now it doesnt and simply shows a white background with no playbutton.
