PHP based AJAX-like client and server side scripts

We have a need for small a AJAX-like remote scripting implementation, based on the design approach used at [login to view URL] The workflow is that we have the client side (another remote web site) and our server side. We want what I could best describe as a search box to sit on the remote site's pages (eg: [login to view URL]) which when the query is submitted, the inline Javascript script on the remote site will call a script on the server side to parse the query. Once the details have been retrieved by the server side components (already existing), the result set needs to be parsed back to the "client side" web site in a structured format. Resulting data that is parsed back should have appropriate capability in the client side script to be able to do appropriate formatting to 'brand' the results accordingly. Possible solution here is a returned XML object that can be iterated through, or, a resulting table which the client side can update and alter the style sheet tags to get color, look and font specifics to their liking. An analogy to all this would be for us to create a google search bar component that can sit on remote sites. The query from that search box is parsed to Google, which in turn passes back the resulting set, and the client site can use style sheet mechanisms to style and display the resulting data accordingly to the remote site (client site) look and feel. ## Deliverables 1a) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 1b) All software will be developed under a 60 day warranty such that if any bugs are found with the dropped / released software component and bugs/issues are found within 45 days, the seller/coder agrees to provide an urgent fix at no cost to the buyer 1c) all code must be properly structured and come with detailed comments. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): 2a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. 2b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) an FER must accompany all software drops to be deemed accepted and software will not be accepted if it is not properly tested by developer/coder 5) coder must ensure proper testing of each module before releasing software and FER to staging environment - seller/coder is responsible for testing ALL functionality of the component dropped - that is, coder/seller must not only test the enhancement or the fix made on the software module (php source file), but must also test all other scenarios also for that module (eg: if fix made to [login to view URL] for keywords, coder/seller must not only test the keyword search functionality, but also location search, category serach, etc). ## Platform PHP 4, Apache web server. Preference given to a Javascript/PHP approach, and all scripts (client and server) need to be hosted on the server site.
