(This is a reinstate of a May 2004 project.)
This is a b2b e-commerce website. The functions include: Online payment, shopping cart, ERP and CRM functions, barcode generation, interfacing with accounting software, website security, customer data compiling, email server, etc.
The coder should use PHP, XML, and MySQL to construct this site.
This b2b site allows employees of corporate clients ordering company-logo promotional items by accessing [[url removed, login to view] name].
Among other things, the main page allows corporate clients uploading their company logo graphic files, and to select promotional products from the site's main page, to be made available to their employees to order online. The main page should also allow the corporate client paste a simple code to create a link on their own websites.
After receiving the graphic file, a page is created ([[url removed, login to view] name]) with products the corporate client selected from the main page. Employees then could order these items simply by accessing. However, certain "management-level" products can only be ordered by logging in with a password.
After we received an order online, a work-order with barcode stickers is created automatically for production, shipping (label), and merchandise return purposes. These barcodes are used for the order-production-shipping cycle, as well as being linked to the accounting software for inventory/cost purposes.
Two emails should be sent automatically, once when the order is received online and once when it's shipped to the customer. The tracking number of the shipping carrier should be included both in our system and in emails to customers.
Customer info should be compiled into a databse for CRM purposes, including occasional promotional emails.
The site should allow a wide range of administering and controlling capabilities, including CRM, ERP, etc.
