This is the best way to sum it up... How close can you recode the php pro bid to mimic eBay but with a better graphic design and with the donation giving and fund tracking additions below?
You will write all verbage pertaining to the site as in welcome message ect...As part of the site design.
this would include a 10 unique web auction templates & 10 store templates within the auction site. Currently using a modified theme. Auction site is in place and fully functional at this time. Looking for a combination of design features as seen in...
[url removed, login to view] & [url removed, login to view] & [url removed, login to view]
Php coding will be required to make some of the changes. Must remove the right side and apply it to the left, see the above site for examples. Functional control over the areas moved must be retained in the admin control panel. all individual auction/sale items should have the option to be followed not only as a watch it now item but with a email notification that auction will end in 24 hours
~ Wish to increase thumbnail size on the auction listings with a "magnifying image" such as used on eBay for auction page listings and in categories and searched. this function would have to be add to the users options in the auction build process and be linked to the admin to turn off and on and be a optional cost item such as the use of a Featured Auction.
The individual auction template also needs to be redesigned to mimic the page lay out of eBay. Individual auction page to resemble the lay out in clean lines and no categories on the left side. When viewing a view auction lists page there should be a "related searches" suggested and a option to include the title and description. Page should be tab as in eBay's to allow buyers to view the item and then click the tab to see the shipping and payment info ( not as it is now where you have to scroll down)
Categories on the LEFT column of the view auctions page should be basically the same as eBay i.e.
Section for matching Stores
Recently viewed items
In the store view pages categories must be moved in the layout so they do not redundantly appear twice This means only on the left. The example would be similar to eBay's auction page for stores list the one line main category at the top that you would see ( in but the sub categories to the side and still retain all the functionality(see eBay for and an example). Stores MUST have the ability to be followed on twitter. This would have to be an option in the initial store setup pages and MUST be able to be turned off an on on the initial store setup page and on the auction page from the admin panel. ( can be one admin option for system wide on/off and can be integrated into individual account to allow or disallow, however system wide off would shut it off globally.
The initial landing home page must be similar eBay in the aspect that you don't view the auctions when you initially visit the page. The home page should encompass that type of design. Also on the home page box's should be set up to capture the different related items to each USER i.e. (not the seller)
My Recent activities
And promotion i.e. "from our Sellers" being a sample of 2 0r 3 items with a link to more.
buy it now promotional box
daily deals ,....
(View [url removed, login to view] for example )
Must have categories like eBay's that will also disappear and that the search within and sub categories are viewed on the left side instead of the way php probid has them along side the stores. The fact that any part of the categories appear more than once on the page is redundant and needs to be redesigned.
Very Important this should be set when the initial auction is set up by the seller.
~Final Sale Payment OPTION must be recoded to allow a seller to donate a specific amount of the sale to the charity of choice these options for charity will be controlled from the admin panel (admin panel should have area to enter charity name and paypal address "multiple add") the seller part of the system must be divided into % percentage options that the seller can manually set with a drop down box of 1% to 100% also must be able to manually enter the paypal address the donation will go to or use default which will be controlled in the admin. ( admin will need to have a on/off for the manual entry of a paypal address from the seller and the ability to enter the default paypal address) the %percentage of the payment must be automatically sent by the system to the paypal address with the balance going to the sellers paypal account or other method of receiving funds. the accounting section of the admin need to reflect this change and keep account of the donations %percentage amounts from the seller and to the paypal address they were sent to. similar to [url removed, login to view] but NOT through [url removed, login to view] we desire this to be automatic so that the charity receives the full donation ( with of course the deduction of paypals own fees for receiving the payment that we have no control over)
The accounting report from this admin section should be viewable within the admin section and as a printable report with the ability to switch between views of defining factors I.E list of charity paypal address's, individual sellers donations amounts, total amounts of donations ect...
On the auction Page the auction must have a section(or identifiable button) to state that X% amount is going to charity upon final close of auction and payment
At the end of the auction the buyer will pay the amount due and to the sellers paypal account and the sellers charity paypal address.
If as a designer/coder you have a better way to implement this process of splitting the payment with the seller and the charity while making it verifiable to the seller that the charity has also been paid. Would be open to this.
At this time we are setting up for only one charity but it would need to be expandable for additional entry areas to allow other charities to be listed in the future.
AGAIN.....PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS if you are unclear about any aspect of this job.
