Hi, I need a game designed in flash (preferably MX) that will basically be a side-scroller with multiplayer capability. Basic game idea is that there will be 2 teams, one on the left side of the map, the other on the right side of the map. The game will need only 2 sets of characters, one for each team. Game controls will simply be arrow keys for left, right, jump, and duck. Then the control key to fire. More characters might need to be added in the feature, so keeping that option open would be nice. The point of the game will be for one team to destroy the base of the other team. Each player will be given 100 "hitpoints" and each shot that they take will take down 20 HP. Once they die, they will regenerate again in their base in 15 seconds. Once one team's base is destroyed, then the game simply states who wins and starts over in 20 sec. For character focus, I want their screen to put the player slightly to the left side if their on the left team and slightly to the right side if their on the right team. I hope you understand what I want here, might be a bit confusing since noone's ever made a game like this before.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
The server side program will need to run on: -Pentium 4 [url removed, login to view] CPU -512MB RAM -120GB HD (should be plenty) -10Mbit dedicated connection -Redhat Linux 9.0 OS -PHP/mySQL will be available as well as a Perl. I would like for the game to hold at least 20 players (10 on each side) without lagging under these server conditions. As for client side: -Pentium 2 -128MB RAM -Dial-up connection (if possible), if this game will be too intense, then make it run on a low-DSL connection.
