A database file has become corrupt. SQLCE 2.0 database to be exact.
No I cannot compact it… It comes back with this error: Cannot compact…
If I try to open the connection to the database I get Database Corrupted… Cannot allow null values.
I don’t need to restore this file per say… I just want to view one table on it.. the Responses table. I would be happy with even with the ability to look at the file after unencryption. Is there a way to just unencrypt the SDF File? I know that an unencrypted SDF SQL CE2.0 database is quite readable by dumping it into a text viewer.
I have the password ... and I believe it uses 128-bit RSA encryption. It uses the password as a key or something.
When compacting (before it errors out)... it does create a 108k new database... however it has only three tables out of like 6. The one I really want is there but blank. The other two tables are good. weird...
I tried to use the [url removed, login to view] after installing sql mobile stuff to upgrade the database from ver 2 to 3. I tested this [url removed, login to view] on another known good database and it worked. However when trying to upgrade this corrupted one, it came back immediately with 'Database Upgrade error!'. It left no partial file or anything unfortunately.
Files are available upon request. Just send me a message.
1) View of the Responses table. In CE query analyzer or straight text. Making it so I'm able to recover data collected at a medical site visit.
