Hi, I'm annoyed and frustrated because someone sent me a zip file via email, and I can't open it on my iPhone. This seems like it should be possible, and so I'd like to have this app created. Therefore, this project should be a simple, straight-forward way to open and view the contents of a zip file on the iPhone/iPad OS. All of the code you'll need for handling zip files is freely available at: [login to view URL] Therefore, the core of this project will be providing a UI for the user to: - View a list of the files & folders contained within a zip file. (This list should be hierarchical; that is, if the user taps on the name of a folder, another list showing the contents of that folder should slide into view.) - Provide a password when the app encounters a password-protected zip file. - Open any files contained within the zip file, if there's an application for that. (Photos, for example, could be easily opened/saved to the photo library. This app should check for other file types/applications as necessary before attempting to open an embedded file.) - Open zip files received via email. This is the most important feature of all, and the one I'll be testing most heavily. It's my understanding this is now possible via UIDocumentInteractionController and UTIs. The app will not be complete without this feature. - Do all of this on both/either an iPad or an iPhone. (Please note that this UI should look nice on both iPhone and iPad, and should appear as a universal app working on both devices.) I know this is a challenging app, but it's very important to me that it work just as I've described it here. Thank you! PS: Some of the features I'm requesting may only be available on iPad/ iPhone OS 3.2. That's OK.
